CCE Ltd was asked to prepare and lay a rubber crumb surface to a seating area at the Bredon Hancock’s First School. This involved edging with timber and compacting the base for the rubber crumb.

The Friends Committee had purchased a shelter allowing the children to enjoy the outside space for lessons and recreation whatever the weather.

The “poly play” system was chosen to allow a safe surface for the children to use. It was laid to a depth of 35ml, onto a well-compacted MOD Type 1 surface. Water permeates away so there are no issues with dirty muddy puddles or wet areas. A definite advantage with small children!

The school expressed how delighted they are with the surface and their new shelter and hopefully so will the children for many years to come.
