Tesco’s are making improvements to their shop fronts; many stores have had glass canopies added to their main entrances to help with heat loss and therefore making them more environmentally friendly.

Steve Miller Construction installed the glass canopy at Stow on the Wold and they asked if we could re-instate the surface to the entrance of the store. The clients wanted a surface similar in appearance to the existing surface.

The nearest match to the original surface was Addaset 6mm Trent.

Work was undertaken on a Sunday to help minimise disruption to the stores trading hours. The entire existing surface to shop entrance was removed and Addaset laid to a depth of 18mm.

Tesco’s opened their store at 8am on Monday morning with a completely new surface to the entrance. All signs of any work having been done over night were cleared away and it was business as usual!
