(Click on an image to go to a larger version) Let it not be said that Cirencester Civil Engineering Limited doesn’t ring in the changes. This summer we were asked to work for a young dynamic Spanish designer Fernando Gonzalez, of Metagardens, London. His influences originate from science fiction, maths and chemistry. His futuristic approach to design is unique and inventive and caused more than a stir at this years show. This was Fernando’s first year exhibiting at the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show. His entry called “Pulsations” was entered into the Small Gardens category. The centrepiece of his design was a recycled polystyrene – foam shape. We were asked to surface the floor to the shape. Fernando chose the resin bound system Addaset in a 3mm Lucerne Silver aggregate to compliment the black painted surface of the foam. The result was amazing and Fernando was highly delighted to be awarded a Bronze Medal for his efforts. It was a great pleasure to work with Fernando and CCE Ltd wishes him the very best of luck with his futuristic ventures. ENDS July 2008 |
